What is FreeStyle Soccer?

Freestyle soccer is an art form involving juggling the ball using feet, knees, thighs, shoulders and the head. Increasingly free stylers are taking it to the next level; more difficult tricks, bigger combo’s (linking of tricks), they are getting quicker, more intricate but often more subtle. To be this good takes dedication and a god given talent!

Origins of Free Style

Conflicting opinions exist of where freestyle really began but undoubtedly it originates from the finer aspects of ‘the beautiful game’. A certain type of soccer player have been thrilling crowds for over a hundred years, the most skilful receives fame and fortune and become a legend with stories passed down from generation to generation. You can name many a star by how easy they went passed good players who had no answer for the skills and trickery they employed.

Free styling or ‘keepy uppy’ as it was originally called, was simply a way in practice to develop and hone your soccer skills and control for the next game, normally, the following Saturday.
